The Realm of Magix
The Realm of Magix is an alternate universe where most of the series unfolds. It is also the name of a city in that universe. It is an enchanted and highly technologically-advanced universe of hospitable planets populated by fairies, witches, heroes, and monsters.
Alfea
The Alfea School for Fairies is a young girls' boarding school for fairies in training. All of the Winx girls met and reside here and have a close relationship with its headmistress, Ms. Faragonda. At Alfea, fairies learn to fight evil, help their planets, or, in many cases, become queens of their planets.
Cloudtower
Cloudtower[3] is a girls' boarding school for witches in training, and for most of Season 1, it was the residence for the Trix witches. At Cloudtower,[3] the witches learn about witchcraft. In later episodes of season 1, the Trix took over Cloudtower and caused a disaster after they stole the Dragon's Flame from Bloom. Ms. Griffin is their headmistress. It is revealed in seasons 2 that she is friends with Ms. Faragonda, and in season 3, she, Saladin and Faragonda are in the Company of Light. It was also revealed that she had a past with Valtor(also called Baltor).
Redfountain
Redfountain[3] is a boys' boarding school for the next heroes, one magical forest away from Alfea. It teaches fighting and the use of technology. In the Redfountain[3] boys are taught how to go on dangerous missions and to fight for their respective planets. Redfountain[3] and Alfea have a close relationship, and Miss Faragonda and Saladin have a long history that involves Bloom's past.

Magazines
Winx Club magazines are found in several countries, including Italy and the Philippines. Contrary to what some believe, the magazine came after the tv show.
Winx Club Magazine
This was the first Winx Club magazine created. In Italy, as of issue 60, each magazine contains a letter from one or more of the girls, a section called "Winx Time", hosted by Bloom, a fun quiz or test, a section entitled "Dance... Sport... and Fun!", "written" by Layla/Aisha, Musa's section, which is entitled "Magic Music", an interview with a celebrity, a section called 'A Tutto... Gossip", the "Boys Zone", an orignal comic that revolves around the Winx girls, a section called "Winx Fashion", by Stella, Flora's "Sound of Nature" section, an excerpt from Bloom's diary, which is called "Il Diario di Bloom", a section entitled "Funny Games, a column belonging to the Trix, named "Mondo Trix", Tecna's "Tecno Zone" and "A Tutto Web", a romantic mailbag section entitled "La Posta del Cuore", an area called "Movies and Books", a "Mail and sms" mailbag section, a horoscope section, and a preview of the next issue. The magazine also often contains previews of Winx Club products, events, web sites, and tv characters.
Pixie Magazine
A spinoff of the original magazine, centered around the pixies. The magazine usually contains one full-length comic and two or three short comics. It also contains sections centered around each of the Pixie's passions, and also contains a section for letters written to the magazine.
Theatrical Films
A CGI feature film, Winx Club - Il Segreto Del Regno Perduto (The Secret Of The Lost Kingdom), was announced in late 2006, and released in Italy on 30 November 2007. It was released on 22 February 2008 in Turkey, on 16 April 2008 in the Netherlands, and on 20 November 2008 in Singapore (as of current writing, its only market outside of Europe and also the only market to see it in English). The plot of the film revolves around Bloom's origins, and takes place after the events of the third season.[7] The official website of the movie covers several markets, with release dates and other information.
It was announced at the Licensing Show 2008 that a 2nd film would be released at Christmas 2010.
Theatre
Actors portraying the Winx Club attend an event in Italy.
In September 2005, the "Winx Power" musical show began in Italy.[8][9] After a successful tour in Italy, it also expanded to Belgium and the Netherlands, before expanding to Portugal in 2009. November 2008 also saw the launch of "Winx On Ice", an ice show starring Carolina Kostner.[10]

In Europe, Italian candy manufacturer Ferrero began to distribute plastic Winx figurines as prizes inside their Kinder Surprise chocolate eggs. Also, a monthly Winx comic book has been published, although its storylines have generally not been related to that of the animated series.
In the United States, 4Kids Entertainment holds the licensing rights to the series and has licensed the Winx Club name and image to an assortment of children's apparel and books. Toys such as dolls made by Mattel and a card game created with Upper Deck Entertainment are available in major stores such Wal-Mart, UK, India and Toys R Us.
In Singapore, bags, clothing and similar items are available. The dolls are the "third most popular dolls in the world" and merchandise sales are over 1 billion euros per year as of 2007.[11]
DVD Collection
In North America, the entire first season of the Winx Club, first released on 12 July of 2005, was available as a five-disc collection until 2008. The first DVD of Season Two, "Layla and the Pixies", was released in 2007, and the second volume, "Battle for the Codex", came out in September 2007, and both are still available. The first DVD of Season Three, "The Princess Ball", was released on 27 January 2009[12], and the other half, Fire & Flame, will be released on 30 September 2009 [2].
In Europe, various DVD releases of the show are available in several languages. The Italian DVDs of the first two seasons also feature the English dub. Season Three DVDs with only the Italian soundtrack are available as well. Also, Winx in Concerto, a DVD featuring music videos starring the Winx, was released in Italy in early 2009, with English and Italian audio.
In Australia, Magna Pacific released the entire First and Second Season in DVD using the 4Kids dub. They also released some single episodes of Season 1 in DVDs.
In Singapore, Vinci has distributed DVDs of the three seasons featuring the original English dub.
In Brazil, the first season and second season is available in the RAI Version dual audio English - Brazilian Portuguese. The entire collection is of 16 DVDs, and PlayArte has confirmed that they won't produce Season 3, though another company in Brazil can produce the DVDs, and they might. They still do not know if they will produce the first or the second movie.[13].

Merchandise

Merchandise
